- In most parts of the rural areas, acute scarcity of water exists, where permanent water sources are not rehabilitated after the war and therefore, are not functioning. Particularly during the dry seasons, a large number of animals may be lost due to lack of water.
- Soil erosion control involves construction of gabions and earth bonds to control gully erosions and increasing community awareness on the environmental degradation.
- The interventions include; rehabilitation of farm bands, gully erosion control on strategic grazing land, stream bank erosion control & promotion of Agro-forestry
- Addresses poor environmental sanitation in the regions. Working with local councils, the project aims at reducing communal health hazards emanating from poor hygiene practices and solid waste management.
- The organization Interventions include; improving Garbage collection facilities, assisting local governments to design and use appropriate garbage and waste disposal sites
- community awareness raising through sensitizing health hazards from poor hygiene practices & Capacity building for the Sanitation Department of the local governments
